Bristol City - Ay carrumba! They're having a slightly hard time of late - no wins in five now and back to back defeats. Looking at that run though, they all look pretty tough games, maybe with the exception of the 0-0 at a struggling Leicester.
Bristol City will almost certainly be expecting to see off a Norwich side who are struggling a bit themselves if you take away their 5-1 demolition of rock bottom Colchester in their last match: 4 defeats in 5 it was before the visit of the basement side with only a point (I say 'only') at Watford.
I'm not convinced the home side will have it easy though. Or maybe I'm just plain afraid. Norwich are looking a bit stuffy and tight these days and another point isn't beyond them and wouldn't surprise me greatly especially given Bristol's little blips of late (and lack of goals). We'll see...
Burnley and Barnsley - I always get these two mixed up. Northern England is all the same really isn't it? There is one massive thing seperating Barnsley from Burnley though and that's their absolutely shocking away record: P19 W1 D6 L12 F11 A33 - holy crap!
Burnley are miles away from having a good home record but it's still blummin' way superior to that. Urrrgh. Barnsley two wins in ten and only seven goals and sitting perilously close to the relegation zone too (does that mean they'll put in some extra effort as so often seems to happen?). Burnley not much better with three wins in ten but twice as many goals which is some comfort and it looks to me like they're only four points behind Plymouth and Ipswich who sit in 6th and 7th respectively. Interesting.
So, the stats say Barnsley lose on their travels rather often and are far more shit than Burnley so let's scribble down Burnley as one to look at closer.
Crystal Palace v Blackpool looks interesting. Blackpool have shown throughout the season they can spring the odd surprise and they've banged in a few goals along the way. I like these fellas. The boys done good and only two defeats in the last ten. Sitting five points above 3rd bottom though so they might be scrapping for a while yet as Palace will no doubt discover.
And Palace just a single point behind Plymouth and five behind West Brom. Oh boy. This game could be a right old toughy for both sides. Palace are really finding it hard work to score goals so I'm going to be considering the X2 I think.
Hmmm... Cardiff odds against eh? Despite the fact Southampton have only one win in ten - ah I see. Southampton have actually been proving surprisingly difficult to beat with only the one loss in six (5-0 ha-rumping at Hull!). And Cardiff are another side WHO CANNOT SCORE!!!! Nine goals in ten, three wins. Pah.
I wouldn't back this lot if they were 10/1. Well I would but they aint so I'm not. Stick it down for a draw for now and we'll come back during the week.
