2.00 Marygate @ 20.00 e/w
7-2, run out of second place only close home in what appeared a substandard Doncaster maiden last weekend (second well held since though might have found race coming too soon); entitled to come on for the run and place prospects at least again.

2.30 Marning Star @ 23.00 e/w Cathedral Walk @ 24.00 e/w
Marning Star: Didn´t win but bits of fair form for Mick Channon last year, including over 7f on easy ground here on second start and when third in valuable nursery at Newcastle in August; best watched to see which way he goes in market on first run for new yard on reappearance.

Cathedral Walk: Ability on turf on debut and on Polytrack on last couple of starts; return to 1m will help and handles cut but handicapper hasn´t taken many chances; minor place claims back on grass.

3.05 Hulla Ballew : 15.5 e/w Ghafeer @ 20.00 e/w Tough Love @ 19.5 e/w
Hula Ballew: Well treated on best form, good course record and stable in decent form, but has taken a run or two to come to hand in last two seasons.

Ghafeer: 3lb drop for winning Catterick seller (back in cheekpieces) seems understandable given poor quality of that race, though has only been with shrewd handler since last summer and well treated if can recapture pick of earlier efforts off higher marks; should be as effective back at 1m and respected from reasonable draw.

Tough Love: Dual course winner (7f) and 4lb lower than when third in this race on reappearance last year, but firmer ground then and possible this trip on softish going isn´t ideal.

3.40 Spinning @ 6.00 Handsome Falcon @ 11.00 e/w
Spinning: Spent much of his career looking one paced but got his act together in the autumn, winning three of his last four starts in 2007; encouraging reappearance at Redcar and contender from a single-figure stall.

Handsome Falcon: Looked useful when scoring at Beverley last summer and recent reappearance should have sharpened him up; conditions should suit, well drawn and one of the likelier winners.
Racing Post

4.15 Stolt @ 14.00 e/w Guto @ 25.00 e/w
Stolt: 5lb higher than when winning at Wolverhampton in December but ran well enough last time to think he was still up to defying this sort of mark; draw could prove beneficial and place prospects. Guto: Much better off with Rebel Duke than at Southwell but not open to the same progress as that rival; has the rail to help but more needed this time.
Racing Post

4.45 Everything @ 7.2 Rio Sands @ 15.00 e/w
Everything: The odd promising effort as a juvenile and did enough on her reappearance to think she could win a small maiden; stall 1 might not be a bad draw on this ground and more to recommend her than most.

Rio Sands: One good run at Pontefract as a juvenile and not disgraced from the worst draw at Nottingham on reappearance; return to 6f and slow ground no problem and wouldn´t rule out a big run.
Racing Post

5.15 Capone @ 8.2 All In The Red @ 11.5 e/w
Capone: Shaped with some promise on second and third starts at two (for previous trainer) and BHA rating of 72 is the highest on display; will stay further in time but should be on the premises if tuned up after a break. All In The Red: Promise on second juvenile start and shaped as though much better than the bare result at Kempton on reappearance; extra furlong won´t be a problem and low draw possibly not an issue on easy ground; place prospects.
