Salisbury Racing Tips 22nd July 08

Not really tips for Salisbury races. More some 'quick picks'. I'm so good to you. I could easily have just went to the pub.

2.30 Drumming Party @ 7/1 ladbrokes.

3.00 Jeremiah 40/1 sportingbet 60.00's @ betfair - Auld Arty 5.6 @ betfair

3.35 Ocean Avenue @ 9/1 sportingbet - Amwell Brave 14/1 ladbrokes - 16.5 @ betfair

4.05 Wester Ross 7.6 @ betfair

4.40 Mille Feuille 8/1 ladbrokes and betfair - Provence 9/1 @ betfair

5.10 Mrs Jefferson 10/1 @ ladbrokes

Yarmouth Racing Tips 22nd July 08

raqcing tipsterYarmouth racing tips delivered straight to your eyes, for free! Let's speed through these with the gunch turned to maximum.

2.15 Four runners and no way I'm taking the favourite @ 1.48 betfair - you know this by now. No. For me, it's a gamble on Green Poppy @ 11.00 betfair. As the racing post say, we really need the others to underperform but it's in with a shout.

2.45 Looks a bit of a lottery - even my gunch is unsure. Or is it? It tells me Lenouska @ 11/2 skybet and 7.4 @ betfair is capable of doing something okay. Will that be enough? Possibly.

3.15 All the so called pros going for the short priced favourite but not I, sir. Golden Bishop looked worth a little something to my gunch and I - currently 6.2 @ betfair and 9/2 ladbrokes. I believe. In something. Not necessarily something good. 3rd or 4th? Who knows?

3.50 Looks tight. I love it. Shall we chance Life's A Whirl @ 12/1 ladbrokes and 12.5 betfair? One decent reason why - "winner of this race last two years and attempting hat-trick off much lower mark this time around after decline in form" - may as well try. Slightly interested in Luck Will Come @ 8.8 betfair and 15/2 sportingbet too. Can it place? Of course it can. Whether it will or not is another matter. I'll say.... maybe.

4.20 Four runners again. As is tradition, I'm overlooking the odds on favourite and going with Robert Burns @ 5.4 betfair and 9/2 vcbet. I don't need reasons damn you.

4.55 Can we find a juicy e/w shout here? I think we possibly can but chances are we won't. Look at me. Keeping my feet so firmly on the ground. I think Registrar exisits within a state of place potentiality @ 10/1 sportingbet. You know it makes sense. I'd be willing to take a little gamble on Fiefdom nicking a place too @ 11/1 sportingbet and betfair. If it has the desire, it should. It could. It will. Maybe.

5.25 Last one. Sweet. Hang about though. I was fancying Charlotte Grey but so is everyone else and you know how much I hate that. I see Smirfys Gold is running - let me down majorly last time but better drawn here... interesting. 11/1 sportingbet and betfair and I'm willing to give the beast a 2nd chance. Do not fail me again. A couple of things going for Town House which makes me want to take a small gamble on it doing something cool. 14/1 vcbet - possibilities.

So long Yarmouth and so long suckers. See you next time? Oh, go on. Please. Be my pal. It's a lonely life being a legendary tipster. Sniff.

Scoop6 Tips 19th July 08

scoop6Scoop6 racing tips delivered straight to your eyes by Donald Keys, legendary, heroic, muscular, racing tipster and friend to the animals. That's me. And this is the world's greatest Scoop6 tips section. We've been so close and yet so terribly far but our day will come. Have no fear. Could it be today? Why the hell not? Let's crack on.

Leg 1 - 12.05 Market Rasen
The lovely Advancement catches the gunch once more having won for me recently. Everyone seems to fancy this beast though and that always puts me off a little. Maybe I shouldn't worry. But I do. 4/1 @ skybet is quite appalling really but there you go. I'm a little torn between Wizard Of Us 16/1 sybet and Moon Star  20/1 bet365 - the former it is then. God help us.

Leg 2 - 2.35 Newmarket
I feel so dirty. I'm struggling to see beyond the top 2 in the betting here. Don't hate me for this. Arthur's Girl 4/1 ladbrokes and Dar Re Mi 11/4 ladbrokes. I don't know why I feel so afraid today but I do. I even disgust myself. Sorry.

Leg 3 - 2.50 Newbury
I suppose if I ruled out Maghya here I'd be labeled a fool. I'm already labeled a fool though so.... no. I have to take it. Currently 7/2 @ ladbrokes. Looks a possible. I'm also going to try a right dodgy one in Aphrodisia 17/2 currently @ sportingbet. Needs some luck but hey, we always need some luck.

Leg 4 - 3.25 Newbury
Only the 23 runners in this one huh? You're making it too easy for me. Too many to love and not enough to hate. Marvellous. By the power of gut-hunch... I. Have. THE POWER!!! Mullglen 16/1 @ bet365 looks as good and/or rubbish as any. And another little gunch gamble with Bahamian Babe 8/1 sporting bet. I probably could have picked 20 or so from this one though. Let us pray too while we're at it. Amen. Next.

Leg 5 - 3.35 Newmarket
Hands up who likes a gamble? Me too. Cape 7/1 skybet requires a whole lot of faith here but I'm willing. I guess I have to jot down the favourite too: Temple of Thebes @ 3/1 skybet - I'm not entirely convinced but it's all I can be bothered with now.

Leg 6 - 3.40 Market Rasen
Shall we dance? Or shall we just keep on gambling. Brooklyn Brownie 11/1 skybet has the potential to do something interesting although it also has the potential to do something utterly embarrassing. What a rush. And I'm going to completely overlook the in-form favourite and plump for the far dodgier Seymour Weld @ 12/1 with paddy power and ladbrokes.

That's your lot. Do with them what you will. My enthusiasm isn't quite there today. Migraines, hangovers and an aching, cold, heart. Keep on breathing in the free world. We don't have long left. Good luck and see you next time. Won't I?

Newmarket Racing Tips 18th July 08

Newmarket racing tips, delivered straight to your eyes by me, Donald Keys. Your cuddly, alcoholic racing tipster. Here are some quickies just for the hell of it. Let's crack on.

5.45 Smirfy's Silver has place potential. 7/1 betfred, blue square etc. 9.4 betfair. Can Silent Applause do anything interesting? Probably not but let's see. 16/1 @ bet365 and 21.00 @ betfair. Place or die. I'd rather it died to be honest.

6.15 F*ck it. I'm simply going to gamble. Nashmiah @ 16/1. e/w shout. They all are really. Snoqualmie Girl 14/1 most places is as good and/or sh*t as any.

6.45 Danish Art @ 10/1 blue square and 13.00 @ betfair is interesting. Why? I wish I had the time to explain.

7.15 How can I resist Cute Ass @ 5/1 everywhere? I can't. Never could. In with a shout. Come on my Cute Ass!

7.50 Albarouche looks a place potential @ 9/1 with all the bookies and betfair. So said the gunch which is actually on a beach in Spain at the moment. Yes, I'm a dirty rotten lying cheat. I'm not really. We talk over the phone.

8.20 Alsace Lorraine is rubbish. We love rubbish so let's have a gamble @ 16/1 sportingbet. I hate you too.

8.50 Aggravation @ 11.00 betfair - another stinker but stinkers are sometimes okay. And Palmetto Point @ 16/1 blue square and 20.00 betfair can please me by not running like a cripple and in the right direction. It's not the worst. Better than Aggravation probably. I should have typed this one first then.

Good luck and goodnight. I really am knackered now. Been sat here since morning. Because I love you I suppose.

Nottingham Racing Tips 18th July 08

racing-today.jpg

Nottingham racing tips
by, me. Donald Keys. Racing tipster and all round good guy. Rosy cheeked, steely bunned and determined not to make you broke. What do folk say about Nottingham again? Ah yes: Left Handed. Flat.   Favours galloping horses. Draw favours high numbers in sprints. No time for chatter though as I only have minutes to get through these so brief as possible. Take it away, gunchy! Let's crack on.

2.15 Devinius 9.6 @ betfair and 8/1 @ sportingbet. Crazy Friday pick in Ramblin Rob @ 25/1 sportingbet and 30.00 betfair. Needs all others to die before finish.

2.45 Avoiding the favourites for Mattamia e/w @ 20/1 paddy power and betfair. Those odds are crap actually but there you have it. I'm in a rush.

3.20 A little gamble on Linby @ 6.6 betfair. 2.08 to place. I think it can. Not sure it will. I did say 'gamble' didn't I? You love it.

3.50 I have to go with Lura here @ 10.5 betfair - currently 8/1 with all the major online bookmakers. Truth is, I quite like it but on top of that, a friend from the black magic circle picked it out today too. Sends a shiver down the spine that does. And right up my gunch.

4.20 Hannicean looks in with a chance of winning but do I want to take the 5/2 on offer everywhere? I dunno. I'll take Ink Spot instead - 3.95 @ betfair. Yuck.

4.50 Sarah Park 8.2 @ betfair and currently 6/1 bluesquare. Not bad. In with a chance. That's all we ask really. Just Oscar too is possibly capable of running well and finishing somewhere pretty groovy. 12/1 everywhere.

Newbury Racing Tips 18th July 08

Racing tipster, Don KeysNewbury racing tips brought to you by the attractive and fragrant, Donald Keys, racing tipster. That's me! Morning people. I wasn't going to bother today as I've been rather busy this morning and hate having to rush through them but then I remembered I could actually take a little nap and let my mighty gunch (gut/hunch combo) take the reins. Today it's all about gunchuition. Brace yourself, Newbury. We're coming to getcha. Giddeup and let's crack on.

Oh, take note of this before we begin as it might be important: Left handed. Dual. Flat   course is ultra flat, wide and suits gallopers. High numbers favoured up to a mile. National Hunt course is flat with easy turns and stiff fences.

1.30 Ah, lovely. Loads of rubbish here so it's time to grab a big, fat, place potential beauty. Or maybe not. Solitary certainly looks capable - 2.58 to place currently at betfair. 6/1 for the win at bet365 and ladbrokes among others. It's in with a shout of something at least. A little gamble with one of the Channon entries too. Peninsula Girl is @ 12/1 with bet365, 3.7 for the place @ betfair. Yes, it's a gamble. I should probably be looking at something juicier but there you go. A rather limp-wristed beginning.

2.00 I think I was on Noble Jack before at Goodwood (31st May) as it finished 2nd. Richard Hughes riding again today I see and he seldom lets me down. Well, he does actually (2nd at Goodwood springs to mind) but I never lose faith. 3.65 though for the win @ betfair and although I reckon this beauty has a good chance I really want something a little more exciting. Perfect Citizen looks capable enough although a huge task to win. Currently 7/1 @ betfair. Shall we? Okay, you twisted my gunch. The craziness aint over yet though as I want to chance a tiny something on Kayfiar @ 80.00, betfair. 40/1 with sportingbet. No one fancies it. Not even me. But Fridays are for miracles. I believe.

2.35 Arabian Flame catches the gunch but the odds aren't making me as moist as I'd like. 6.00's @ betfair and all the online bookmakers. Pah. I'll jot it down anyway. Along with Felday - currently 29.00 @ betfair and 16/1 skybet. That doesn't automatically mean it's bad. Likely though. But today we demand miracles. A place will suffice. Let us pray. Amen. Next!

3.05 Hmm. Rowan River @ 3.4 to place at betfair. Can it? Yes. Will it? Ye..... n... maybe. We can only be certain immediately after the race. I'll tell you then for sure. Of the favourites, I'd be inclined to go for Cosmea @ 9/2 ladbrokes and 5.2 betfair. In with a shout. I suppose.

3.40 A bit of a lottery it appears outwith the short priced favourite (which, as you know by now, I'm avoiding). I'll plump for Easy Target after much gunch scratching (30 seconds or so). 11/1 @ sportingbet, 15.00's @ betfair. Good enough to not finish last which puts it in with a chance of placing. High hoof!

4.10 I pretty much hate them all which is usually when I find one I love. It's the love paradox. I think? Nope. I still hate them all. May as well have a gamble with something unlikely looking. Kyllachy Storm @ 20/1 with bet365, paddy power etc. and, well, I suppose it's not an impossible task to place. Somewhere. I think I'll leave it at that.

4.40 Oh Lordy. troubles so hard. Don't nobody know my troubles but God. I spy Bienheureux here which is interesting as I'm sure I went to pick this bugger the other day but it seemed to disappear off the face of the Earth. Withdrawn for mysterious, mystical reasons involving black magic? No idea but it's 10/1 @ sportingbet and 12.5 @ betfair. I have to say chaps, I think it's currently existing within a state of place potentiality and everytime I say that.... well. I think you know. I want to see it do well. Run like the wind. And straight into 1st place. It won't be last. I imagine.

That's Newbury. That's the donkeys. That's Donald Keys. Goodbye. For ever. Or until next time. Good luck.

Brighton Racing Tips 15th July 08

keysbrighton.jpgBrighton racing tips by Donald Keys. That's me. Don Keys. I'm here to help you live a happier, healthier life. Not really. It's ulcers galore which is what it's all about in my book. I wasn't going to bother with Brighton today but I have a few minutes to spare so let's crack on. Try to ignore all of the following:

2.30 Only four runners and not much to get excited about. I'll chance Johnny Rook @ 2.58 betfair

3.00
I'll gamble with a couple of e/w shouts in this one if you don't mind. One Way Ticket @ 25/1 bet365 or 33/1 @ betfair - it has a tiny Keys tick next to it so why the hell not? And Bateleur @ 14/1 betfred - I don't think they'll both be terrible. Possible though. Amen.

3.30 Overlooking the main contenders again for a couple of place potentials. Bye Baby Bunting @ 14/1 sportingbet and Nordic Light also @ 14/1 with sportingbet or 17.5 @ betfair. Do me proud or don't do me at all.

4.00 Enough positives for me to chance Recalcitrant @ 9/1 ladbrokes - it's record here is impressive enough and says to me it's four legs and internal organs can carry it to a place. Let's have a little faith with Lancaster Lad to please the gunch too @ 9/1 sportingbet or 10/1 betfair if you'd prefer. One, both, or neither of these will make me smile. That much is certain.

4.30 Keep on gambling. That's what I gonna do. Fairly Honest @ 8/1 skybet and 9/1 betfair can finish thereabouts. You heard it here first unless it's nowhere. Same goes for Orbital Orchid @ 12/1 with bet365. Do if for the gunch you rotten beast. And world peace.

5.00 Give me one good reason not to like Under Fire @ 12/1 bet365 and betfair to at least place. Okay. Give me fourteen good reasons not to like Under Fire @ 12/1 to at least place. Ha! You can't can you? That's good enough for El Gunchy here.

So long, suckers.

Beverley Racing Tips 15th July 08

Donald Keys racing tipsterBeverley horse racing tips. Summertime. I'm going to pick up my tipster hose and playfully squirt you with racing tips. You love it. And so do I. I'll tell you what else I love. Beverley...  Right handed. Tough uphill finish puts an emphasis on stamina, stiff. High numbers favoured up to a mile. Things like that can be important. Mainly when the infamous Donald Keys 'gunch' and 'hunchuition' aren't quite in the zone (rare but happens). I can't be sat here twittering away with you lot though. Time is creeping up on me again like a... a... clockwork ninja? Or something. Lets crack on.

2.15 Dodgy looking race first up so let's sharpen the gunch and find something not particularly obvious. Just Sam is rather fancied and looks in with a shout so I'm immediately looking elsewhere as is my right. Unfortunately I hate them all but one of my least hated is Jevington Star @ 9.8 betfair and 2.8 to place. A place is the best we can hope for I think. It's tight. Next!

2.45 Tight again I'd say so I'll be chasing a tasty e/w shout here if possible. Or not. Ace Of Spies @ 14/1 with bet365 and skybet has very little going for it but it appears as rubbish as most of them here so I'd be willing to gamble a little on it placing which of course wouldn't be rubbish. The rubbish paradox returns. Superb. Thanx For That keeps nagging away at me too - it's not the worst and could be touching a place. A place somewhere also not rubbish. Currently 10.5 for the win @ betfair and 3.1 to place or 8/1 @ skybet to win. Place ya bastard. In my heart.

3.15 The last Tuesday racing I can recall went utterly stunningly. I wish I could remember what I did. Was it mainly gunch rubbing and hunchuition? I suppose it was. Okay then. Let's see where the tingles begin and end. Cool Sonata @ 25/1 bet365 requires heaps of faith and heaps of faith is just what I have. It might actually not finish last and that is certainly good enough for me. Duck! I'm squirting you with my tipster hose! We'll try Positivity too to place as you know how much I love positivity. This beauty is currently 8/1 @ bet365 and has four working legs which move. Most winning horses share those traits so it has a chance.

3.45 Thewhirlingdervish is the first to catch my gunch @ 6/1 with paddy power, skybet etc. and 7/1 @ betfair. It can certainly grab a place but has enough positives to go all the way I believe. Just about. I think. Well, okay - 4th. Need to keep our feet on the ground. There are two or three others I could quite easily pick out here as in with a shout but I'm going to overlook them for something slightly less obvious in Bold Adventure @ 14/1 with sportingbet and 4.7 to place @ betfair. I'm not sure what to say other than it's pure gunchuition and a little black magic. It has place potential anyway as far as I'm concerned. Nice one, me.

4.15 All aboard! Wooo woooo! Last stop, gamble town. This is a real toughy so everyone pat my gunch and tell me it'll all be okay. There, there. And here, here. I've spotted one. Or have I? I was hoping for better odds than 8/1 skybet and 9.4 @ betfair for Soto which looks to be currently existing within a state of place potentiality. No time to mess around though so I'll jot it down along with.... shoite as the Irish would say. A couple I like but no doubt I'm going to ditch the wrong one as usual. Balls to it. Jun Fan @ 7/1 skybet, betfred and so on. Let's hope at least one of them can do something to please my gunch. Just don't let Monte Major place @ 25/1. Next!

4.45 Gala Sunday is quite fancied and for a change I'm willing to agree. 5/1 just about everywhere and touching 2.00's @ betfair to place. Only a spontaneous combustion will see it run a stinker. Not running a stinker guarantees nothing though so be careful. Again, one or two others I like but I'm plumping for Wulimaster @ 15.00 betfair and 3.4 to place or 11/1 bet365. As shouts go, it's in with one. It won't be a million miles away at least (as that would be almost impossible).

5.15 Hopefully we can finish with a bang here. As long as it's not the sound of a gun as I place it to my temple and pull the trigger. Cracking stuff. I effortlessly combine racing tips with comedy. You've never had it so good. And I'm going to ruin it all by taking a chance with the crappy looking Mganga @ 7.00 betfair. Don't worry though. They're all equally as crappy so there's a chance of something. You know the score.

That concludes the summertime racing tips squirting for Beverley. I hope you're lucky enough to avoid the lot. Good day to you, sir. No, good day to YOU. No, YOU. I'm heading to the pub for 3pm so will probably miss it all. Yes, I'm no longer a recovering alcoholic. I'm an alcoholic. An alcoholic that doesn't drink is simply ridiculous when you think about it. See you next time. Or perhaps I'll see you in hell before that.

Scoop6 Tips 5th July 08

donkeys.jpgDid you miss me? I think you did. That's okay though. Feelings are good. Especially good feelings. And you know what? I have good feelings about today. Yes, it's Scoop6 time again and I fully expect another superhuman display by all of my picks. Superhorse display. Whatever. These hooves were made for running. And that's just what they'll do. No time for chit chat though so let's crrrrrrrack on.

2.10 Sandown
3 or 4 I could possibly plump for here but Peace Offering @ 12/1 with bet365 and all the majors and 13.5 @ betfair is interesting me the most. Why you ask? Surely because I say so is enough by now? It requires alot of faith after 9 months off, I'll admit that much. It exists within a state of place potentiality though and you know I love that. It'll be tickling 3rd I think. But we need a winner so let's take the favourite, Hoh Mike, too. Unbeaten here and that aint half hot mum. Short odds but that's life. I was almost tempted by Day By Day @ 40/1 but we can't have them all. If it places I'll most likely commit suicide. Suicide is painless. Easy.

2.25 Haydock
Very interesting race indeed. My gunch (combined gut and hunch) is in tingle town here. They're all decent says the gunch so we really need to pick out the tingliest if possible. Full Speed looks a decent e/w shout @ 11/1 sportingbet and Trenchtown could be worth a little something - currently 9/2 @ ladbrokes and 5.4 betfair. The favourite looks tough to beat but they always appear that way don't they? I believe, brother. I hope you believe too. Together our belief can propel these beauties somewhere. Somewhere that will make us happy. Across the line and over the rainbow. Love it.

2.40 Sandown
A few familiar horse faces in this one that have done well for me recently and I often find that off putting. Not to worry though. Masaalek is one and keeps calling out to me for many reasons. Four legs and fully functioning internal organs being two of them. It has recently finished 2nd to today's favourite as the racing post will tell you: "Record of steady progression and came out best of far-side group when runner-up to Fifteen Love in the Britannia at Royal Ascot; 2lb pull gives hope of turning the tables today and has to be respected." I do respect it. I do. Respect to the swishy tailed beast. Does it have enough to win? We shall see. I also fancy a bit on Unshakable @ 16/1 sportingbet - it likes Sandown and it's great at running really fast in the right direction. Place potential say I.

3.00 Haydock
I love a good opera so Folk Opera immediately tickles my gunch. Plenty going for it and not a huge amount against which means I have to chance the little devil @ 5/1 with bet365, bluesquare etc. and 6.2 @ betfair. I expect  Samira Gold may be capable of placing but you know what? I need a good old gamble and Sweet Lilly @ 33/1 with all the bookies and 48.00 @ betfair can spring a surprise if it doesn't spontaneously combust.

3.20 Sandown
Pipedreamer
looks decent enough to moi @ 5/1 skybet, ladbrokes etc and 6.8 betfair. It's very tight with Pheonix Tower @ around 4.8 so I'm happy to chance it at better odds. That officially makes me a chancer doesn't it? I love it. Blimey. I suppose I'd best stick down Pheonix Tower too then as you know it'll bleedin' well pip it. Is 'pip it' even an expression? I make them up as I go. I'm so zany.

3.35 Haydock
Balls. I have to have a tiny little something or other on Dansili Dancer to place @ 8.2 betfair - I think it can actually achieve this amazing feat. It's 33/1 @ skybet and 48.00 @ betfair for the win. That's not good enough for Scoop6 though. We want something more realistic and secure. Fine. Tight between Mad Rush and Pippa Greene for me so this little rascal is going to gamble again with the latter at far juicier odds. 9.8 @ betfair and 8/1 bet365, ladbrokes, paddy power etc. A little luck is all we need. And a little love.

I've been Donlald Keys and these have been the Donald Keys donkeys. Nice ass! See you next time, suckers.

Scoop6 Tips 31st May 08

scoop6.jpgHowdy, partners and partnerettes. I wasn't going to bother with this today as I'm a bit knackered but Scoop6 betting tips are in my blood. I can't not do them, even if it's random hunchuition over the course of an hour.

You know I'd ideally like to spend 5-6 hours on these but you never know. Our luck may be in. Time is of the essence so let's cut the chit chat and crack on. I'm Donald Keys and these are my donkeys.

Leg 1 2.45 Haydock
Nice difficult one to start. Just as we like it, the mighty gunch and I. I've had a quick glance and it's difficult to see past Dark Missile @ 15/8 betfred and Perfect Polly @ 7/1 bet365 - I'll have them both. Next!

Leg 2 3.00 Goodwood
Could quite easily pick out 4 from this one but let's stick with a couple and hope to get lucky. Rub my hunch, we're going in. Not convinced it has enough in the locker to win but we'll chance Show Winner, currently 5/1 @ bluesquare and the next one really is tough. I might have to flip my gunch here. It's all about weighing up the positives and negatives but sometimes things are just too close to call. Balls to it. Candle it is, 11/2 @ paddy power just now.

Leg 3 3.15 Haydock
Blimey. I can't see past an impressive looking Appalachian Trail @ 15/4 sportingbet during my brief glancing. On the back of a fine win over course and distance last month and certainly looks capable. It'll finish somewhere for sure. As will they all.

Leg 4 3.25 York
Not really a fan of York but we have to do it. Say a little prayer for me.  Regal Flush appears to be fancied by all including me I'm sad to say. I hate being a sheep but the clock is ticking and I can't really look at them all. We'll try it though and a little gamble on Samuel @ 16/1 bluesquare. It exists within a state of place potentiality and you know I love that.

Leg 5 3.35 Goodwood
Not liking a great deal here and even the gunch is shying away. Today is gambling day though so let's try Caldra @ 7/1 betfred along with the fancied Bankable @ 15/8 with bluesquare

Leg 6 3.55 York
Nice one to finish with only the 20 runners to sift through as we battle the clock. Thanks for that. I have to say though, the first one to catch my eye is the favourite River Falcon @ 10/1 sportingbet due to it's super record here. And finally Ishetoo I think will be thereabouts. No time to look at any others so that's that and good luck.

See you next week.

York Racing Tips 30th May 08

racing-today.jpg

Alright, chaps? Good. York racing tips coming your way. Use them wisely. With great tips comes great responsibilty. I'm really pushed for time though lads so apologies. Usually when I'm racing against the clock we end up with a right nasty bunch of garbage so I'd recommend not even reading these. Let's crack on.

2.10 One that isn't particularly fancied by anyone except my gunch and I is Advanced at what looks tempting odds. 17.00 @ betfair and 14/1 with the major bookmakers. I think it's a decent e/w shout partners. Also Something @ 18/1 sportingbet and 20.00's @ betfair. It is just about capable of placing I say. Surely my word is all you need? Wow. Just spotted it's 11/1 @ bet365. Seems a bit out from the other two.

2.45 Only 6 runners in this one. Does that make it easier? Not really, no. I don't mind the favourite here though, Viva Ronaldo @ 2.62 Bet365. The name itself probably guarantees it's going to score.

3.20 This is more like. An almost impossible task picking the winner and that's when my hunch and gut form into the almighty, magnificent, gunch. Gunch power is all we need in this one to seek out a couple of decent place potentials. Granston is capable and likes the ground and the distance and the course so much.... it could finish 3rd. Currently 11/1 @ bet365 and it's not bad. Let's hope it doesn't get into a... ahem.. pickle. I thank you. I could have shouted up Peruvian Prince there but too short for me so major gamble time. Man Of Gwent has a couple of ticks for me so the 55.00's @ betfair looks a bit much. 8.4 to place, also betfair. 26.00 @ bet365 for the win looks nearer the mark to me. If it's breathing and four-legged it can do something. Probably closer to last than first though. You love it!

Goodwood Horse Racing Tips 30th May

Horse racing tipster, Donald KeysHowdy, partners. Goodwood racing. I love it. If you remember last time I attempted Goodwood races I was 5/6 and what a day that was. Can we reach such giddy-up heights again? We'll only know by giving it a go so let's get our heads down and crack on. I'll tell you a little secret first about Goodwood:  Right handed. Flat. This course undulates but has easy turns and suits galloping horses.

1.55 Let's start with an each-way shout in Madame Hoi. The Racing Post will suggest it's not quite good enough to win and I'd possibly agree but there's a chance. The ground should be fine, distance fine... enough ticks here for me. It'll place. Maybe. Just run the right way is all we ask. It's @ 6/1 with bet365 and 8.2 @ betfair and 2.24 to place also @ betfair.

2.25 I quite the look of Palmetto Point to place @ 2.10 on Betfair and 5.7 to win. Plenty of positives and I'd be surprised if it isn't thereabouts. Hopefully that doesn't mean 4th. No, no. Positive thinking boys. This will claim a place. It's a consistent animal. Consitently thereabouts and that's enough for Donald Keys and his mighty gunch. Let's also have a little faith in Dispatch Box  - currently @ 2.94 to place. Don't blame me. Blame the Keys hunchuition. Merrymadcap is pretty fancied I should mention. It looks not bad but my saliva glands aren't really in overdrive.

3.00 Difficult to see past the short priced favourite, Heads Down but you should know by now that I don't want to give you that! No siree. It's a decent e/w shout I intend to hunt out and I may have just spotted one in, Norworneva @ 20/1 bet365 and currently 14.5 @ betfair. Difficult to tell you why other than I trust my hunchuition at Goodwood usually. I think when you take away the first 2 or 3 in the betting it's all very tight so I'm willing to gamble on this beast running a blinder and having place potential. It currently exists within a state of place potentiality. Ohhmmmm.

Ayr Racing Tips 29th May 08

donkeys.jpg

H
owdy, partners. Horse racing tips for Ayr races you want eh? I can't say I'm fan of Ayr but we'll give it a go. My record up in Scotchland is pretty poor but I'm an optimist so believe we can go some way to putting it right today. Let's crack on.

2.20 Lovely jubbly. Four runners. I'm avoiding the short priced favourite and in fact looking at the other end at An Carrig. No harm in trying a little on this @ 16.5 betfair or 14/1 with bluesquare. Starting with a gamble is never a bad thing to get the racing juices flowing. If it's alive it can win. Never rule out last place though. That's the thrill you get with the Donald Keys tips. Don't worry though. We win more often than not.

2.50 Three runners this time. Balls. Do you want the favourite here @ 1.44? Nope. Me either. I'd be quite happy to chance Russet Reward @ 4.9 betfair to overcome the favourite. It might be a little tighter than the odds suggest. I love 'em tight. Run like the wind my beauty.

3.20 I do quite like the look of the favourites, Zabeel Tower @ 5.1 and Lady Valentino @ 4.4 both betfair but we don't want to give you that! I demand a decent e/w prospect from this so let me rub my hunch and see what materialises. Hmm. Grandad Bill can just about grab a place I think but the odds again aren't getting my saliva running too much. 17/2 @ sportingbet and 11.2 @ betfair for this beast. What the hell, let's chance Lady Valentino too. Don't let me down Lady.

3.50 I'm going to overlook the short odds fav again and search out an e/w shout. My gunch is working overtime today I have to say but it's buzzing a little with Pianoforte which is currently @ 7.2 betfair and 2.36 to be placed. I think it can. It should. And it will. Possibly. Don't quote me on that. Any of it. Unless it wins. My head keeps returning to Shy Glance in this one too. Can it nick the win? You know, it probably can. Chance it if you like @ 9/2 with ladbrokes.

4.20 Oh for fu.... three runners. Let's plump for Plane Painter @9/4 with paddy power and all the majors and move on. Happy? Not really. Content though.

4.50 Must be some kind of horse shortage going on. Four runners in this one. Let's take Pavershooz @ 4.6 betfair or 4.50 bet365 to cause a minor upset against the odds on favourite. It's not as good as Fabreze but miracles happen. Especially when I'm around.

5.20 Speedy Senorita is pretty fancied here but it's let me down in the past and the Keys man does not forgive or forget easily. A couple here my hunchuition says have place potential and I'm happy to finish with a little gamble on Stoneacre Sarah @ 3.65 to place @ betfair and Killer Class @ 2.8 to place also betfair.

So that's us done with Ayr races. Phew. I'll be happy with anything really. Not a great deal to get excited about from that lot. Will you still love me tomorrow? I'll still love you. I've been Donald Keys and this has been my Ayr donkeys. Good luck. And I'll see you in hell no doubt.

Yarmouth Racing Tips 29th May 08

donkeys.jpgYarmouth horse racing tips. Lovely. Morning, chaps. Or afternoon. Or even, evening. You may be enjoying me at midnight perhaps over a beer and a curry. Doesn't matter. All that matters is that your pal, Donald Keys, destroys Yarmouth today. Let's find a couple of winners at least to enhance my legendary status. It's Yarmouth. It's horse racing. It's Donald Keys donkeys. Let's crack on.

2.10 I quite like to follow an animal that's done well for me recently so my pick here is Sister Moonshine which managed a place last run at big odds. Thanks darling. We aint getting big odds this time though: 4.3 currently at Betfair or 11/4 with me old pal Betfred

2.40 I feel a little gamble coming on. Blackmalkin my gunch (gut and hunch) whispers could be worth a place. This is a tight one though but the odds are okay. Currently 11.5 @ betfair or 8/1 @ betfred

3.10 A real lottery here and not one I'd recommend betting on. Having said that, I love to gamble so for me it's In The Moment @ 7.6 betfair or 6/1 @ bet365 - it's rubbish but it's as rubbish as the rest which gives it a chance of doing something not all that rubbish. What do you think of it so far?

3.40 Blimey. This is a tough one. Very tight and little to choose between them but me old hunch is tingling at Peas In A Pod @ 9/1 with betfred or 9.2 @ betfair - it's an e/w shout. Probably doesn't have enough in the locker to win it but with just the right number of legs and fully functioning internal organs, there's a chance and a chance is all we ever need. Also place claims for My Flame which is currently @ 11.5 with betfair and 8/1 with bet365.

4.10 Time for some faith. I believe I can fly and I also believe Marmooq is capable of placing and isn't out of contention for the win either. I sense it likes ground and this ground might be right up it's street. I think it could go close anyway unless it starts pissing down. 7.8 @ betfair or 7.50 @ bet365

4.40 Dragon Flame could be interesting. I see bet365 go 8.00's but you'll currently only get 4.9 @ betfair - what are you talking to me about Willis? I'm chancing it e/w @ bet365 anyway. It likes Yarmouth, it likes the ground and it likes the distance. That's enough to suggest it can do something here. As long as it's breathing. I'm gonna be a devil too and tell you that Bookiesindex Boy can place. Somewhere. Either 3rd, last or over the rainbow. I love it. And I love you. 15.00 @ bet365.

5.10 Dear Lord. Give me strength. Guide me towards a decent e/w shout in the 5.10 at Yarmouth. Hooo-aaah. Simultaneous gut and hunch tingles for Ba Dreamflight although 9.00's @ bet365 and betfair hasn't got the saliva glands in overdrive. And I may as well finish with another good old fashioned gamble. Latimer House has nothing going for it other than the affection of the Donald Keys gunch. My hunchuition says..... maybe. 16/1 @ bet365 and 18.5 @ betfair. You know it makes sense. Of some kind.

Until next time, Yarmouth. Please be kind. I've been Donald Keys and this has been my Yarmouth donkeys. Shut yar mouth.
